We Wish You Love And Peace Upon Your Soul

Don Cornelius 1936-2012

Sometimes one is haunted by his own wings
and forgets how to take flight
to flock
to kiss the sky
and the bask in the golden time of day.
We forget that a broken wing doesn't mean
that you cannot fly.
We forget that some fly in circles.
Traveling without moving.

Still in my heart, he soars.

Rest in Power
Paradise sweet prince.
We bid you adieu
but not before we wish you
Love. Peace. And Soul.

Did you just write this off the top of your head this morning? What a fitting tribute poem to a legend from your hometown. RIP Don Cornelius...
