Slick's Picuyane Tribune Times: The Weekend Edition

This Sunday evening while working on a script, I was keeping an eye on a rather interesting debate on Twitter about a push to "Dump the Trump."  There is/was a growing campaign to boycott all Trump enterprises including Celebrity Apprentice. In case you've been hiding under a rock, The Don with his the merkin like combover--no comb forward--whatever the fuck it is, pissed off people with his silly  investigation into President Obama's naturalization and education. I mean this dude nearly incited riots. And so did Nene Leakes.  Linnethia (a moose of a villain whose antics could rival that of Alexis Colby on Dynasty) highhandedly smashed poor Star Jones calling her "a punk ass bitch".  She also called her "an evil fat lady" and other memorable zingers that made all of our dicks go limp. We know that Linnethia likes to show out on Real Housewives of Atlanta, but her rants on this show is unprecedented. Nene was dropping them one liners and all of the twitteratti (well the black tweeters anyway) went back and forth. Some quoted the insults and mouths were agape at her thug style and others refused to watch the show and argued it was degrading, insulting to black women yada yada.

But Nene kept dropping those one liners, one by one.  And then the show was interrupted by another one liner : OSAMA BIN LADEN IS DEAD.

While it's not cool to revel in any mans death--A tiny smile crawl across the face at the thought of possibly being able to carry full tubes of toothpaste and shampoo in our carry on bags.

Thousands of Americans died on September 11, 2001.  And thousands of civilians throughout the middle east have died everyday since that 9/11 in a brutal war that spans the globe practically. I won't take to the streets to celebrate his death--but I will chuckle at the fact that he was reported dead on the same date that Adolph Hitler was confirmed dead in 1945.

His death won't bring back the people whose lives were taken in that attack orchestrated by him.  All we can do is continue to pray for the men and women in the military because the war is still going on.

I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure. - Mark Twain
